The Old History Of New York

Image
In Midtown Manhattan, New York City, Times Square is a significant business crossroads, a popular tourist attraction, an entertainment center, and a neighborhood. It is created by the intersection of 42nd Street, Broadway, and Seventh Avenue. Times Square is a five-block area in the shape of a bowtie that extends from 42nd to 47th Streets, together with neighboring Duffy Square. The early location of William H. Vanderbilt's American Horse Exchange was Times Square, which was once called Long Acre (or Longacre) Square after London's carriage quarter. Long Acre Square was a sizable open area bordered by drab flats in the late 1880s. However, the area started to alter quickly. The electricity created a safer and friendlier atmosphere in the public realm through the use of theater ads and street lights. After The New York Times moved its offices to the then-newly constructed Times Building, today is known as One Times Square, the area was christened Times Square in 1904. The loc...

Photography for Bloggers

Image
Photography is a service, albeit a very personal one. Your clients are allowing you into their lives and entrusting you with some very important moments. The more reasons you can give them to feel confident in hiring you, the better. A blog is an excellent tool for accomplishing this. It allows you to demonstrate who you are, why you are a photographer, and what value you can offer a prospective client. It gives them insight into your motivations and how you treat your clients—information that is critical to their decision. And, of course, it allows them to see your most recent and best work! When you first start out (i.e., during your first 5 - 10 years as a shooter), you will most likely be improving your work at a rapid pace. Portfolio websites have a tendency to become stagnant, and also many photographers fail to update them on a regular basis. A blog guarantees that prospective clients see your most recent (and most likely best) images. This ensures that they are familiar w...

IN-PERSON CORPORATE EVENTS MEETING HAVE RETURNED

Image
We all remember how much we faced the burden of attending Zoom calls and G-meet. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, many organisations have adopted a remote working model at least in part. This paradigm shift makes it difficult for leaders to maintain face-to-face communication with their teams. As an effective leader, you understand the importance of effective communication skills in managing your team. When two or more people can see each other while communicating, this is referred to as face-to-face communication. It promotes meeting engagement and participation while also fostering a trusting company culture. Face-to-face communication takes place when two or more people interact and communicate in front of each other. This could be a physical, in-person conversation or a virtual conversation. In-person communication is frequently more effective than written or audio-only conversations. This is due to the fact that seeing each other allows us to pick up on nonverbal cues and b...
